Time to Rock and Roll, Or Better Yet---Polka!

Well, here we are, the last day before the trip! Perhaps most importantly: No more Factoids for you to suffer through! Well, maybe just one last time. Actually, I just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to spending the next ten days or so with you guys. I hope that these daily bits of information in preparation for the trip have helped to get you in the zone, and that when you see the sights of Krakow and other places where we’ll visit, you will already have a little bit of exposure to understand their significance. Poland is a place that I have been coming to since the early 1990s. The majority of Ardan family history lies here, and we cousins owe it to ourselves and our ancestors to learn more about it. I have fallen in love with this country, and especially with Krakow. I plan to return here for the rest of my life, and hopefully buy an apartment in town at some point. I really hope that, through our trip, you will gain a sense of why this place is so special. If you come to like it even one one-thousandth of how much I do, I will consider our little expedition to be a great success.

All right, people, there’s only one thing left to say: Let’s get this pierogi party on the road! See you all tomorrow!

Brian,

I haven never read a better guide/blog about my home town. It makes me missing Krakow so much more and brings back tons of memories. Your "American" perspective on our Polish Krakow has been so amazingly right. I wait for your blog every day and enjoy reading it a lot. So does Alexandra. Is there anyway you could continue? We all will miss it if you stop.

Thank you for your great work. Got some delicje i sliwki w czekoladzie from Chicago for you..

Marek
